About Me

My Work

Alongside my private counselling practice, I also volunteer as a bereavement counsellor at a local hospice where I help clients work through their grief after experiencing the devastating loss of a loved one. I also work alongside clients who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Although this work can be challenging at times it is also incredibly rewarding. I feel both proud and privileged to have the opportunity to support clients as they face their grief and take the difficult steps that allow them to gradually adapt after their personal loss.

I also have specific experience with eating disorders, along with the knowledge and a deep understanding of the psychological issues that drive an individual to hold onto an eating disorder. With compassion, empathy and understanding I can support individuals within this exceedingly complex area.

I am also a Trauma Informed Practitioner which means that I am able to work competently alongside clients who have experienced traumatic events in the past and as a result may also be experiencing the impact of ongoing trauma in their day to day lives. I offer a safe, practical and flexible way of working with trauma that is tailored to suit each client’s specific needs and that ultimately supports and aids deep healing and long term recovery.
